I wanted to commit for 10 to 15 years horizon, but the question always comes to mind will that adviser be trustworthy and going to stick with me for all those years. After all, it's my hard money.

Yes, this has been my dilemma as well. Since I started investing some years back, I have been always hesitant before investing for the long term. The main hurdle was the lack of time & insufficient knowledge of the market.

So, I started researching for advisors who can do it for me, and trust me I have spoken to more than 20 odd advisors before coming to the one I am currently investing with. Some things I looked to qualify the advisor was

  1. Determine your need for advisor commission-based/fee-based
  2. Look beyond their website & credentials
  3. Understand their philosophy & their fund manager

And compare till you are satisfied.

Here's what I invest with

I recently stumbled across Cube, who I have been following for quite some time. They do this stuff too & for free.
